On Saturday, 08 March, Flotilla 1-10 of the USCG Auxiliary hosted an open house.  The flotilla meets at a former Coast Guard station located on Lake Seminole near Chattahoochee, Florida.  The building is now operated by the US Army Corp of Engineers.  The building has been assigned to the flotilla under a Memorandum of Understanding.  Under this MOU, Flotilla 1-10 will assist the Corp of Engineers in providing public education on boating safety, performing vessel safety inspections, checking aids to navigation, and conducting environmental safety checks.  During the open house, awards were presented by Capt. James Montgomery, Director of Auxiliary, Eighth Coast Guard District, and Dallas Cochran, Immediate Past Division Captain to Flotilla members Mary Zapata, Mike Chammoun, and Stephen Chammoun.
