Welcome

"Welcome to the official Web site for Division 1.  I hope you will find this site useful in gaining information about the United State Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Flotillas that make up Division 1.  As a frame of reference, Division 1 stretches along the Florida Panhandle from Pensacola, Florida (western boundary) to St. Marks, Florida (eastern boundary) and into southern Georgia and Alabama along their state lines.  We have an active Division which supports the Panama City, Destin and Pensacola Coast Guard Stations.

I have been involved in the Auxiliary for eight years and have thoroughly enjoyed serving my community, gaining a better understanding of safe boating and gaining confidence navigating the coastal waters of Florida.  Whether you want to participate in operations on the water, serve as an instructor or inspect vessels, the Auxiliary has a place for you.  It's a great way to be engaged in your community and enjoy the company of others with similar interests.

I encourage you to look around the Web site, and if you are interested in membership, please e-mail one of the Flotillas directly or the Division's SO-PS officer (info on staff page).  If you are already a member and can't find the information you need, please email me (rich@uscgaux.net) and I will have one of our staff officers assist you in your research.

I am proud of the commitment of our members and thank you for the privilege to serve you.  Again, thank you for visiting.

Rich Rasmussen,
Division Captain
